Free Living Scriptures Family Fun Pack

My friend posted this on her website which she found on her ward Relief Society blog. Go here if you want to sign up for a free Living Scriptures family fun pack. It has an animated dvd for kids, a dvd of some documentary, a 48 page FHE book, and 8 Book of Mormon character magnets. It is supposedly all for free - even shipping. I signed up for it about a week and a half ago I think. Still haven't gotten anything but I think it will eventually show up. Just thought I'd pass it on for anyone who's interested.

Bro & Sis

So I wanted to post a couple pics of Luke and Lydia when they were first born and a couple weeks old. When Lydia was first born we thought that she looked nothing like Luke. Now I still think she looks different that Luke did at her age, except for every now and again I totally see Lukas in her. I just needed to post these pics so I could see them next to each other myself. Do you think they look alike or different? Besides Lydia having a nice tan. ;) I still can't decide.

Lydia 3 or 4 weeks old.

Story time

Lukas sure does love his story time. We always have to read a couple books before naptime and then again before bedtime. He absolutely loves his 2 curious George books and his Cat in the Hat book. He can have us read them to him over and over again. Well, a couple nights ago Matt was lying on the ground on a pillow reading a book. I heard him whisper to me (I was sitting on the couch talking to my parents) to look at Lukas. I watched him grab a pillow and put it next to Matt on the ground, go get his Curious George book and then proceed to lay down on his tummy just like Matt was to read his book. SO CUTE! Here's a pic of my little guy..well he isn't so "little" anymore. ;) (I don't know why this text is all underlined but I can't get it off and I'm not about to re-type this whole story). Ok and I just have to add this adorable pic of Lydia. It was taken about 2 weeks ago. I can't believe my little girl is already 2 months. We have her 2 month check-up this Thursday. I'm pretty proud of myself that it is only a week and a half late/after her 2 month birthday instead of like the 2-3 weeks late that it would always end up being with Lukas. ;) She looks a lot pudgier in this pic than she really is.

New girl flip flops

Here are some new girl flip flops size 0-3 months. My friend is buying one (thanks Sabrina!) and the other will be up for sale on my website at www.luckybuttondesigns.mybisi.com. These are so fun to make. I want to keep them all for Lydia! ;)

Another addition to the family

One week after Lydia was born we welcomed yet another addition to the family - a navy blue 2005 Toyota Sienna LE to be exact. I'm so glad we decided to buy a minivan instead of a full size sedan or a compact SUV. I just love being up high, and not having to bend awkwardly down to get our kids in and out of the back seat. I love the features. I love the smooth ride. And I really love how gas prices are so low that it only costs $35 to fill up my 20 gallon tank. Thank you honey for allowing me this lovely luxury! I strongly encourage anyone even thinking about getting a minivan to get a Toyota Sienna. I certainly love it!
This picture isn't of our car but you get the idea...

Green Thumb???

We were at our friends' house the other day and noticed that they had started their very own mini greenhouse garden. What a great idea! We decided to try to follow the Prophet's counsel too and planted our very own garden for FHE this last Monday night. Lukas loved helping daddy plant tomatoes, cucumbers, green and red bell peppers, zucchini, and hot peppers. Its been 6 days so far and some of our tomatoes, cucumbers, and zucchini have already sprouted! Hopefully we'll have good luck and grow green thumbs as well! ;) Thanks again Watsons for being such good friends and good examples! If anyone else is interested in doing the same you can pick up your very own mini greenhouse packet at your local Walmart for a whoppin' $6. Pick out a couple seeds for a couple more dollars, water, plant, and then replant the veggies later in the ground (or bigger pots) and VIOLA! your very own homegrown, hopefully yummy, veggies! Good luck!

New Member of the Family

No, I'm NOT prego again! ;) I sent Matt and Lukas to Walmart the other day with specific instructions to get 2 things and hurry home because dinner was almost ready....This is what they came home with. And no, it wasn't one of the 2 things on the list.

Say "HELLO" Gipper (affectionately named by Matty). *Sigh, I guess this is what I get for sending boys to the store to get boring things on mommy's list. ;) Glad we have you Gipper to spice up our lives!

Whoever said its no fun shopping for boys hasn't seen these stylin' baseball flippies! Anyone interested? I'll be getting my business license this week and will have a website soon where people can order. I just want a heads up on what people want. Boy or girl? Size? Color? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance for the advice!

Baby Flip Flops & Lucky Button Designs Blog

So 2 days ago I had a brilliant idea for a small project during the kids' nap time. This is the finished product...

Am I the only one who just LOVES these things? I'm going to start making them for sale for my new business: Lucky Button Designs. Please feel free to take a peek over at my business blog at www.LuckyButtonDesigns.blogspot.com for things I'm currently selling. I'm starting out slowly so there might not be a lot posted for a while. Right now I have some bags and nursing covers. Soon to come: baby flip flops for boys and girls; and aprons for adults and kids! So fun.

My Cute Kids

I took some pictures of Lukas and Lydia this morning and I think they turned out great. Luke always does this cheesy grin whenever he sees the camera or we say "Cheese". Funny guy. Lydia is smiling more and I finally caught some cute ones on the camera. I wish the one where she was super cheesing would have turned out better...and that she wouldn't have turned her head away right before the picture took. haha. That always seems to happen. Oh well, the last one is pretty darn cute. Enjoy.

This last week was pretty crazy but fun. I decided last minute to be a vendor at a craft fair last Saturday. My good friend Colleen makes beautiful glass jewelry
and entered this local craft fair and suggested that I come along and try selling my Mary Kay and some bags. I didn't have any bags made yet. I have tons of fabric to make them, I just haven't yet. So I decided to go for it. I made 2 bags - one extra large and one large. I love both of them. I asked my friend Christina to help me make some nursing covers. She's awesome and made 2 and they look fabulous. She even added an extra touch, a button at the bottom of each one. I told her that I love buttons and will stick some on each bag I do so she took initiative and put one on each nursing cover. I love her. She gives me such great ideas for my business. So to get all this done we both were sewing all day Friday. Poor Luke was running through the rooms upstairs like a madman to keep himself entertained. He would steal my long plastic quilting ruler and pretend that it was a guitar - he'd strum it and run around singing at the top of his lungs! I have no idea how he knows what a guitar is, much less that you are suppose to strum it while singing along. haha He's such a funny kid. Anyways, I had to stay up until 2 am Friday night/Saturday morning to get the bags done. I then was up at 7 am to be at the craft fair by 9am. Colleen and I were there from 9-3pm. Christina joined up later in the day. It was a very very small craft fair and both of us didn't do so well. She at least sold one piece. I didn't sell anything. Everyone that came was old. So they didn't need a nursing cover and trendy bags. They all bought food. It was funny. But the point is that I'm glad I did it nonetheless. I got good experience and I'm still optimistic about starting up my business. And hey, now I have some bags and nursing covers to put up on Etsy. Woohoo! ;)Oh and I'll post pics soon of the bags and covers.
