Halloween Fun

So my two brothers and their families came over last night to eat a fall dinner (broccoli soup in pumpkin bread bowls with apple cider), carve pumpkins, decorate sugar cookies, and watch our favorite show on TV - Heroes! It was a lot of fun!


Here's a video of my niece and nephews doing a sweet jig! My favorite part is the diaper sticking out of my niece's shirt while she's shakin' it! ;)

I love the smile on Lukas' face (ignore my scary one!)! Can you see it?


Matt dressed Lukas up for the football game last Saturday. It was freezing, hence the Russian "helmet" on his head!


This is a pic of all of us before heading off to the BYU game last Saturday. GO BYU!! Lukas is stuffed in Matt's jacket so he'll be warm :) It started to snow for the first time this season while we were at the game so we had to book it home as fast as we could!!

Camera Bliss

Yay I finally got a new camera!!! I love all the features on it. It is a Panasonic Lumix FZ8 and boy do I have to tell you that it is AWESOME! Ok I know I'm a major geek but it really is cool. It is a digital camera but also has some features of an SLR, like being able to add different kinds of lenses. I've been going crazy all morning trying to take some cool pics but alas I am not a professional photographer. Although, I love the flower picture I'm posting. :) Maybe someday I'll learn how to be a fabulous photographer, until then I'll keep up with my amateur photos! Thanks Janelle for recommending this camera and helping me to convince Matt!!! ;)

2 Month Check-up

So Lukas had his 2 month check-up last Tuesday October 2nd. Two weeks late of course because I didn't add him to our insurance in time...Oops! Well here are his new stats:

Weight: 13 lbs 11 oz
Height: 25 inches long

He was also quite a trooper because he received 4 shots and only cried a few minutes. We also found out that Lukas has a dermoid cyst on his right eyebrow and will need to get it surgically removed within the next few months. Luckily its an easy surgery and nothing to worry about. :) Other than that Lukas Matthew is very healthy and getting cuter and cuter everyday!

Summer Fun

I though I would catch up on this past summer activities, of course with old pics since I can't take any new ones :). Lukas went on his very first vacation at 3 1/2 weeks old. We went to our home town in Sacramento, CA where both Matt and I are from. We went to Matt's family reunion up in Sly Park where his parents rented a cabin for us all to stay in. It was a blast to watch the family go wake boarding and to visit with our family. Lukas was a trooper on the airplane and didn't even cry! While in CA Matt was able to bless Lukas with both of our fathers and a few other family members and close friends. It was amazing! I am so blessed to have such a cute, happy little guy and amazing husband! Here a few pics that our mom Gwynn took. Enjoy!

Camera issues

Darn it! My camera is broken and hence I haven't been able to take any pictures of lil' Lukas for the last month and a half! The lens pops out but then the camera freezes and turns off. Well, here goes searching for a new camera. Help dad with your blessed HP discount!!! New pictures of Lukas will hopefully be posted very soon.

Colic

Gas is no fun for baby nor for mommy. Poor Lukas has become colicky with gas again, or at least I think so. We went through this phase for the first month of his life and then he was happy go lucky, gas free for his second month of life. Now he's two and a half months old and the painful gas has come back to haunt us... Poor little guy cries and cries until I give him the blessed gripe water! Thank heavens for whoever came up with gripe water to naturally resolve my little guys gas which gives mommy and daddy a much needed break! ; )
